Description
Handcrafted Yunnan Highland Xishi Teapot – “Mist Valley”
Forged in the 1300°C kiln fires of Yunnan’s mist-shrouded highlands, this hand-thrown Xishi teapot is a living testament to the region’s millennia-old tea and pottery traditions, shaped by the earth and kissed by fire.
Every curve is shaped by the potter’s fingers—from the plump, rounded body that mirrors the soft contours of Yunnan’s rolling hills, to the delicate spout and looped handle that fit perfectly in hand, designed for the graceful pour of a traditional tea ceremony. The glaze is a masterpiece of nature: a gradient of creamy beige and mossy green, crisscrossed with fine crackle lines that evoke the misty valleys and ancient tea terraces of the highlands. No two pieces are identical; each bears the unique fingerprint of the kiln’s flames and the artisan’s touch.
At just 7 cm tall and 170 ml capacity, it’s the perfect size for intimate tea moments, ideal for steeping Yunnan’s famous Pu’er or fragrant black teas. The balanced weight of 210 grams ensures a steady pour, while the tight-fitting lid locks in the tea’s aroma, turning every brew into a journey to the misty peaks of Yunnan.
